The main innovation of the Cureous platform is the collaborative open research environment (CORE) framework. CORE enables agile and collaborative investigation of conditions and treatments based on shared subjects, shared methods and a common execution environment.

SHARED RESEARCH METHODS
Instead of authoring monolithic protocols, research teams design studies in a modular fashion, allowing to publish self-contained methods as reusable building blocks - ranging from simple questionnaires to digital biomarker models. As such, new studies are mostly assembled from existing modules, with de-novo authoring limited to study elements that differ from prior research.
SHARED PATIENT POPULATIONS AND DATA
Instead of recruiting and observing separate patient cohorts, studies recruit from a shared patient population. All captured data is stored in a shared data space, along with references to the methods applied to observe it. Research teams can not just access (de-identified) patient data across all projects, but can seamlessly utilize and extend patient data in follow-up studies.
Instead of having to tackle a range of infrastructure setup, integration and testing tasks, research teams work with a platform that provides a managed research environment.
Studies are defined and run based on ready-to-use and validated platform capabilities - guaranteeing
standardized conduct and lowering setup efforts to a fraction of current levels.
Beyond participating in studies, Cureous enables patients to be actively engaged in all phases of research design. Crowd science tools help to structure patient initiated observations and explorations, creating an immense value for patients while simultaneously capturing a wealth of case studies and real-world evidence.
